Megan SullivanOn the first day of spring this year, we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. Torrential rain the previous weekend had postponed the annual Trenton St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Hamilton Avenue to March 20. Instead of rain jackets and boots, parade-goers wore sunglasses, flip flops and short sleeve T-shirts in varying shades of green. A few weeks prior, we had record snowfall and freezing temps. And there I stood in 70-degree sunshine, breaking out in a sweat as I drank a Guinness. For me, the first day of spring meant the first sunburn of the season.
